DoScroll Terms of Use
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
DoScroll is an app made by Elite Prep Inc. (“we”, “us”). It lets you save how-to videos, posts, web pages and podcast episodes you find online, and turns them into short looping clips and written steps you can follow. These terms are the agreement between you and us when you use the DoScroll app and the doscroll.app website (together, “DoScroll”).
By using DoScroll, with or without an account, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use DoScroll. Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
If you got DoScroll from the Apple App Store or Google Play, that store’s terms also apply. Apple and Google are not parties to these terms and are not responsible for DoScroll.
2. Who can use DoScroll
You must be at least 13 years old to use DoScroll. If you are under 18, or under the age of adulthood where you live, a parent or guardian must read and agree to these terms for you.
3. Your account
You can use DoScroll without an account, or create one with email, Apple or Google.
- Keep your sign in details private. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Tell us right away at [email protected] if you think someone else is using your account.
- You can delete your account at any time from inside the app: go to Account, tap your name, then tap Delete account. Deleting is permanent.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or when the law requires it.
4. Price
DoScroll is free during early access. If we add a paid plan later, we will show you the price in the app before you are charged anything, and any purchase will go through the App Store or Google Play under their payment terms.
5. Your content and the videos you save
What you make stays yours. Your shelves, routines, wishlists, notes, photos you add, and the workouts you log belong to you. You give us permission to store, copy, process and display that content only so we can run DoScroll for you. That includes sending it to the AI services that create your clips and steps, as our Privacy Policy describes. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in backups, which are overwritten within 30 days.
Videos and posts from other platforms belong to their creators. When you share a link from Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, a podcast or another site, DoScroll reads what is publicly available at that link and makes a private set of steps and short looping clips for your own use. What you import is private to your account. We do not publish it or show it to other users. We do not claim ownership of that content, and DoScroll is not affiliated with or endorsed by those platforms or their creators. DoScroll links back to the original post.
You agree that:
- You will only import content for your own personal, non commercial use.
- You will not use DoScroll to republish, sell or share other people’s content.
- You have the right to anything you upload yourself, such as photos.
6. Copyright complaints
We respect creators’ rights. If you believe something in DoScroll uses your work without permission, email [email protected] with the subject line “Copyright notice”.
Please include:
- Your name and contact details.
- A description of the work you own.
- The link, or a description of where the material appears in DoScroll.
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized by you, your agent or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or are allowed to act for the owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
We will remove or disable access to material that is the subject of a valid notice, and we will close the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe. If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you can send us a counter notice at the same address with the details the law requires.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use DoScroll to:
- Break the law or anyone else’s rights, including copyright and privacy.
- Upload anything illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, or harmful to children.
- Get into systems or accounts you are not allowed into, or disrupt DoScroll.
- Copy, scrape or reverse engineer DoScroll, or use it to build a competing service.
- Send automated or bulk requests, or resell access to DoScroll.
We may remove content or limit access if we believe these rules have been broken.
8. Wishlists and shopping links
DoScroll may list the products and tools mentioned in a video, with links to stores such as Amazon and Kroger. Some of these may be affiliate links. If you buy something after tapping one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
We do not sell these products and are not responsible for them, their prices, availability, delivery or returns. The store’s own terms apply to any purchase. Product lists are made automatically and may be incomplete or wrong, so check before you buy.
9. Exercise, health, DIY and beauty instructions
DoScroll uses AI to turn other people’s videos into steps. The steps can be wrong, incomplete, or missing safety warnings that were in the original video. Always check the original video.
- Exercise and health. DoScroll is not medical advice and does not replace a doctor, physical therapist or qualified trainer. Health protocols show what the speaker said, not advice from us. Talk to a doctor before starting a new exercise or health routine, especially if you are pregnant, injured, or have a health condition. Stop if you feel pain, dizziness or shortness of breath.
- Food and recipes. Check ingredients for allergies and follow safe food handling and cooking temperatures.
- DIY and home projects. Use proper safety gear, follow tool makers’ instructions and local codes, and hire a licensed professional for electrical, gas, structural or other risky work.
- Skincare and beauty. Patch test new products and follow each product’s own directions.
You follow any instructions at your own risk.
10. Disclaimers
DoScroll is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promise that DoScroll will be accurate, uninterrupted, error free or secure, or that every import will work. We make no promise about content created by other people.
11. Limit on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Elite Prep Inc. and its people will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or injury arising from your use of DoScroll or from following any instructions in it. Our total liability for any claim about DoScroll is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
12. Ending your use
You can stop using DoScroll and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, or stop offering DoScroll, and we will try to give notice when we reasonably can. Sections 5, 6, 9, 10, 11 and 13 continue to apply after your use ends.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it somewhere else.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as DoScroll changes. When we do, we will change the date at the top, and we will tell you in the app about important changes before they take effect. If you keep using DoScroll after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms.
